You can read all about Carols and Capers elsewhere in this site. Here, in fact. This page has pictures of the 2004 performances of Carols and Capers. Actually, since we were all busy performing on stage, all it has is pictures of the before and after of our performances of Carols and Capers. Also, my camera flash had died, so these pictures aren't very good. I hope to get some wonderful new ones from all the other lovely people in Mr Baker's Dozen. |
![]() Waiting nervously for the start in Niton Church. I'm not sure what Robin of Sherwood is doing with us, though, or who the giant disembodied hand belongs to. |
![]() Carols and Capers starts with all the lights being turned off. We then process through the darkened hall, holding lanterns, and singing. Here they are being prepared. |
![]() Waiting in the changing room at Godshill village hall, ready to do the Mummers' Play in part two. St George is modelling his chain mail, and his rather disgusting green face. (He wore black face paint on the other nights.) The dragon loiters in the back, behind the apple tree. |
![]() Jubilant in the pub, after it is all over. We don't normally wear masks, but chose to do so for Carols and Capers, just in case anyone we knew was in the audience. |
